Okay so here’s the deal-
I have two classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays: American Government and British Literature. Tuesday my American Government teacher told me class would be cancelled for today. This left me with just one class, which doesn’t even start until 3:00. So I go to British Literature at three only to find- my teacher was sick! Woot woot! I had no classes today. It was awesome. If only every day could be like that, college would be perfect.
But we have more to talk about . . .
Great Service Sunday @ Stevens Street
I wanted to talk about it in my last blog, but I felt bad to throw it in there with my political rant. Church was AWESOME at Stevens Street Sunday. This guy named Adam Paul Williams came and performed, he is probably one of the most talented voices I’ve ever heard. He sang the David Phelps song “End of the Beginning” and ”I Bowed On My Knees And Cried Holy.”Go look for him on iTunes.
My Roommates Got A Fish
Complete with a five gallon tank. Joy.
Next Semester
I signed up for my classes for next semester. I’m taking Spanish, Biology, American History, (all required courses), and another Poly Sci course and a Broadcast Journalism class. I’m excited about the last two, and History is kind of interesting to me also- the first two, not so much.
Jonathan’s New Favorite Song- Ever
I’m giving you an assignment. Go on iTunes and look up the David Phelps song “Hallelujah.” It is absolutely, completely AMAZING. I really think it might just be the best song in the world.
The Proposition 8 Folks Need To Simmer Down
These anti-Proposition 8 protesters have lost their marbles. Attacking elderly women, vandalizing mormon churches and harassing and assaulting proponents of proposition 8 isn’t going to accomplish anything people. The “yes” vote on Proposition 8 was the expressed will of the people. Does anyone else feel like we’ve seen this movie before? California voted on this eight years ago with proposition 22 and it passed, congress passed the Defense Of Marriage Act in ‘96- and forty one states have defined marriage as being between a man and a woman.
How The Grinch Atheists Are Stealing Christmas
The picture below is part of a new ad campaign being put out by the American Humanist Association. All I want to know is why. What’s the goal here? To me it’s just plain tacky. Fred Edwords, the association’s spokesperson called it “cute and catchy” on The O’Reilly Factor. Yes- Those are the words I was looking for.
Reunited And It Feels So Good
Some of my friends are coming to Cookeville Friday! 15 of us (some of us are already here at Tech) are meeting for dinner Friday night and I can’t wait!

You can solve that fish problem by getting a cat or a bird:0)
Jonathan, I enjoy reading your blog!
And the fish shouldn’t be that bad.. I used to have some and they’re pretty low maintenance and quiet, but if you really want to solve the problem, a hungry cat should do the trick…
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I might have to try that! Haha.
